Magenta Research, a leading provider of digital extension and integration solutions for audio/video systems will utilize the 2013 NAB tradeshow (booth #SL9416) to demonstrate a pair of new products that break traditional barriers in high definition video extension.
HD-One HDMI Extenders
The HD-One DX500 extends HDMI and embedded audio to a distance of 500 feet (150m) supporting resolutions to 1920x1200. The HD-One LX500 extends HDMI along with IR and RS-232 500 feet (150m) and also supports resolutions to 1920x1200. Both use a sender/receiver system with one CAT-6 cable in-between. Designed to use less power, dissipate less heat, and offer better emission, both extenders are currently shipping.
DVI Integration with the Mondo Matrix
Those using Magenta Research’s UTP-based Mondo Matrix now have an additional option for extending DVI to a distance of 1000 feet (300m) using CAT-6 cable with the introduction of the new MultiView DVI transmitter and receiver. While the DVI products can operate as a send/receive pair, a DVI transmitter can also be used to send digital video to any existing MultiView analog receivers. The Mondo Matrix offers modular inputs and outputs in increments of 16, and supports a maximum configuration of 256x512. It can now extend DVI outputs at 1920x1200 resolutions up to 1000 feet. Front-panel indicator lights, replaceable air filter, redundant power supplies and a new backlit LCD aid in configuration.
Voyager New Additions
Magenta will also be showing off new entries in its award-winning fiber-optic-based signal delivery system Voyager. Offering switching, extension and distribution options for video (including HDCP-protected content), audio and serial, new Voyager offerings include a 4-port core, which can be used as the heart of any Voyager transmitter or receiver and vastly improves signal distribution options, and the HDMI-SRx scaling receiver, which is ideal for applications that feature a mix of source video resolutions, and/or a mix of “native” display resolutions. Compatible with all incoming resolutions supported by Voyager, the HDMI-SRx receiver incorporates CORIO®2 scaling technology developed by Magenta’s sister company TV One to seamlessly scale video to a wide variety of output resolutions, including 1920x1200.
