In some switching applications where the sources are in close proximity to the matrix switch, Magenta’s Mondo Direct eliminates the need for standalone transmitters by supporting direct video and audio/serial inputs into the switch. Moreover, the Mondo Direct is the only platform that can combine local sources with remote sources in a single switching platform and can support the extension of AV and serial signals up to a range of 2000ft/609m. Transmitted to the switch via UTP, the remote inputs can be mixed with the direct inputs in configurations that are scalable up to 16 direct inputs + 32 remote inputs x 128 outputs, or 32 direct inputs x 128 outputs. Like the Mondo II and Mondo III, the Mondo Direct also future proofs your investment by allowing for the addition of inputs and outputs in increments of 16 and is compatible with all MultiView -A and -S products.
The Mondo Direct can be programmed and controlled using the onboard touch-screen, Windows HyperTerminal, Magenta’s Mondo Matrix Control Software, or 3rd party control systems such as AMX or Crestron.
