Magenta Adds to Executive Team
with Key New Hires
Duo Adds Over 30 Years of Industry Experience and Leadership
New Milford, CT – Magenta Research, the recognized leader in video, audio and control signal distribution and switching over Cat5/CatX cable and optical fiber, announces the addition of two new significant executives.
Bob Michaels has been appointed Corporate Vice President and is tasked with overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations. Reporting to CEO Keith Mortensen, Michaels brings over 20 years of international experience leading companies that specialize in advanced technology fields. He was most recently Vice President of Solvision Inc., a manufacturer of high precision metrology and inspection systems for the semiconductor industry. He previously served as Vice President for Robotic Vision Systems Inc (RVSI) and as President, Halma Asia Pte Ltd (A Halma Group subsidiary), he was responsible for the group’s operations in Asia. Bob is based in Magenta’s New Milford headquarters.
Kamran Ahmed joins Magenta as Director of International Sales & Senior Technology Advisor. Based in Montreal, Canada, Ahmed is tasked with the expansion of Magenta's business globally including EMEA and APAC. Ahmed brings over 10 years of international experience in sales and product management including key leadership roles at Matrox Graphics' product management department and Solvision's sales department. Magenta will also leverage Ahmed’s extensive experience in defining technology products for the 2D/3D graphics and video technology fields to assist in future product strategy. Kamran graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a degree in Computer Engineering.
