Magenta Ships 1x4, 1x8 DVI-D Signal Distribution Methods
New Milford, CT, November 1, 2007 – Magenta Research, the recognized leader in video, audio and control signal distribution and switching over Cat5/CatX cable and optical fiber, announces the immediate availability of a new DVI-D transmitter used for cost-effective DVI video distribution to between two and eight DVI displays.
The 1080P/ 1080i / 720p-ready digital transmitter has four CatX outputs, and a Local Monitor Out port can be utilized to connect a second transmitter, providing a total of eight DVI outputs. The new transmitter, named 4Play, sends the DVI-D signals via the multiple CatX cables to Magenta’s Cat’s i HDMI/DVI receivers at distances to 300 feet from the source.
Another feature of the device is the inclusion of Magenta Research’s mock-mode DDC functionality, which allows for a variety of DDC options in order to ensure a trouble-free installation.
The transmitter is compatible with all high-definition formats, plus VESA video formats including 1680x1050 and 1600x1200 resolutions. U.S. list price is $375.00 and units are currently in stock for quick shipment.
