Fully compatible with the MultiView Series, Magenta’sMondo Matrix delivers the world largest, most scalable and the only field-upgradable full-matrix switching platform with modular configurations from 16x16 to 256x512. Combined with Magenta’s Infinea UTP and fiber extension products,Magenta’s comprehensive product portfolio, not only covers virtually any AV distribution requirement, but also boasts the industry’s most reliable signal distribution product line. Ideal for any application environment, it comes as no surprise that products from Magenta Research have been chosen for innumerable high-profile installations around the world.

Company History

Founded in 1998, Magenta Research began the journey of AV signal distribution by offering KVM and video switching products for use in financial trading floors. Since then, Magenta has consistently delivered technology that has not only overcome significant technical hurdles in the distribution of audio, video and serial signals at high resolutions and long distances, but has also enabled the proliferation of digital signage and information displays across the world.

In 1999, Magenta demonstrated the feasibility of AV signal distribution over UTP by offering the first XGA extension over UTP, the quality of which was indistinguishable from the source and consequently spawned a new paradigm in AV signal distribution over long distances.

In 2001, Magenta reinforced the future of UTP cabling for AV extension in digital signage applications by combining full-modem serial extension capability with AV signals on a single UTP cable. At the same time, Magenta also delivered the first SXGA video extension over UTP.

In 2003, Magenta introduced the MultiView Series which delivered the world’s first UTP extension platform to support UXGA video at 1500ft/457m.

In 2005, with the introduction of the Mondo Matrix, Magenta research became the first company to offer a UTP based full Matrix AV switcher, that was scalable and field upgradable from 16x16 to 256x256. Compatible with MultiView, the combined platform offered the most flexible switching and longest extension system in the world and continues to be the benchmark for such systems to this present day.

The introduction of the Infinea DVI Series in 2006 enabled the world’s first unlimited distance extension of DVI, stereo audio and duplex serial signals by utilizing multi-mode or single-mode fiber and daisy chaining capabilities.

Continuing the tradition of being a technology leader, Magenta Research introduced the XR2000 Receiver in 2008, delivering the world’s only extension system capable of supporting 1920x1200 resolution video, stereo audio and duplex serial signals over an unprecedented 2000ft/609m of UTP cable. In 2008, Magenta also launched the Mondo III, which extends the un-passed four year lead of the Mondo II by offering a full matrix switching platform capable of switching and extending video, audio and addressable duplex serial signals with scalable configurations from 16x16 to 256x512.
